The Cultural Empowerment Project is a non-profit, community organization that is dedicated to creating inclusive programming for Black, Indigenous, Multi-racial and 2SLGBTQ+ identifying people in the Durham Region. Our mandate is to bridge gaps in the community by encouraging, motivating and educating ourselves and others. Our motto is “Pride comes from knowledge”, and we strive to bring these words into action by structuring programs and activities that build self-esteem, self-recognition, independence and self-determined direction.
