Introducing Akuah Frempong, Clinic Coordinator & Community Organizer

Akuah Frempong is a first-generation African-Caribbean-Canadian woman who has lived in Whitby for the past 10 years. Akuah has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Management of Applied Science, Specialization in Global Health Systems in Africa degree from Western University. Currently, Akuah works as a healthcare administrator for a homeless health organization in downtown Toronto. Her community work includes the Congress of Black Women, Oshawa/Whitby Chapter and the Durham Region Anti-Racism Taskforce. Akuah is honoured to share publicly for the first time her original poem called Semi-Furnished Impact that she wrote for Black History Month this year. @akuahfrempong
